This is followed by Sankalp (pledge), where the couple expresses their intentions and seeks blessings for their relationship. The puja starts with Ganesh Sthapan (installation of Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles), Kalash Sthapan (placement of the sacred water pot), and Shiva Parvati Sthapan (installation of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati to bless the couple with harmony and love).

Additional installations include Lakshmi Narayan Sthapan (Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi), Navgrah Sthapan (nine planetary deities), Brahma Sthapan (Lord Brahma), and Agni Sthapan (invocation of the fire deity). The ceremony includes the chanting of various mantras such as Shiv Parvati Mantra, Lakshmi Narayan Mantra, and Navgrah Mantra Japa, along with specific rituals to bless the couple. The core of the ritual involves Homam (fire ritual) with sacred offerings like honey, ghee, sugar, sesame seeds, and sandalwood powder, followed by Purnahuti (final offering), Aarti (offering of light), and distribution of Prasad to the Brahmins.
