The ceremony starts with Swasti Vachan (chanting of auspicious mantras) and Shanti Path (prayers for peace), followed by the Sankalp (pledge) to state the purpose of the path. The initial rituals involve the installation of various deities, beginning with Ganesh Sthapna (installation of Lord Ganesha), followed by Kalash Sthapan (placement of the sacred water pot), Lakshmi Sthapan (installation of Goddess Lakshmi), Ram Darbar Sthapan (installation of Lord Rama, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman), Navgrah Sthapan (installation of the nine planets), Brahma Sthapan (installation of Lord Brahma), and Agni Sthapan (installation of the fire deity).

Following these installations, there is an Invocation of all Gods and Goddesses, accompanied by chanting the Navgrah Mantra Japa to seek the blessings of the planetary deities. The main part of the ceremony is the Shri Ramcharitmanas Akhand Path, an uninterrupted recitation of the Ramayana that lasts for 24 hours. The ritual concludes with Aarti (offering of light) and the distribution of Prasad (sacred offerings) to the Brahmins.
