The ritual begins with Ganesh Sthapan (installation of Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles) and Lord Shiva Sthapan (invocation of Lord Shiva as the main deity of the ritual). Lakshmi Sthapan (installation of Goddess Lakshmi) and Varun Kalash (placement of the sacred water pot dedicated to Lord Varun) are performed next, followed by Punyaha Vachan (purification ritual). The ceremony continues with Navgraha Sthapan (installation of the nine planetary deities), Brahma Sthapan (installation of Lord Brahma), and Agni Sthapan (invocation of the fire deity).

The puja includes the Invocation of all Gods and Goddesses and chanting of the Navgrah Mantra Japa with one mala for each planet to harmonize their influences. The main part of the ceremony involves the Recitation of Rudrashtakam Path, a devotional hymn dedicated to Lord Shiva. This is accompanied by the powerful Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra Japa and Om Namah Shivaya Japa to invoke divine protection and healing. The recitation of Shiva Chalisa Path further honors Lord Shiva.
