Puja Procedure

The ceremony begins with Swasti Vachan (chanting of auspicious verses) and Shanti Path (prayers for peace), followed by the Sankalp (a vow) that declares the purpose of the puja. The ritual continues with the Ganesh Sthapan (installation of Lord Ganesha) to remove obstacles, followed by Kalash Sthapan (placement of the sacred pot), Lakshmi Sthapan (invocation of Goddess Lakshmi), and Lord Ardhnarishwar Sthapan (installation of the combined form of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati). Next, the Navgrah Sthapan (installation of the nine planetary deities), Brahma Sthapan (invoking Lord Brahma), and Agni Sthapan (installation of the fire deity) are performed.

Following these installations, there is an Invocation of all Gods and Goddesses, and the chanting of the Navgrah Mantra Japa (mantras for each of the nine planets) is carried out. The ritual includes the Recitation of Ardhnarishwar Stotram and the chanting of Shiva Shakti Mantra Japa. The main worship, Ardhnarishwar Puja, is then performed, focusing on the harmonious union of divine masculine and feminine energies. The puja concludes with Aarti (offering light to the deities) and the distribution of Prasad (sacred food) to the Brahmins.
