The Navgrah Shanti Puja begins with Swasti Vachan (chanting of auspicious hymns) and Shanti Path (prayers for peace) to create a calm and sacred atmosphere. This is followed by the Sankalp (pledge), where the devotee’s intentions and prayers are expressed. The ritual starts with Ganesh Sthapan (installation of Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles), Kalash Sthapan (placement of the sacred water pot), and Lakshmi Sthapan (installation of Goddess Lakshmi for prosperity). The main installation is Navgrah Sthapan, where all nine planetary deities are invoked, followed by Brahma Sthapan (installation of Lord Brahma) and Agni Sthapan (invocation of the fire deity).

The ceremony continues with the Invocation of all Gods and Goddesses and Chhetrapal Mandal Pujan (worship of the guardians of the directions) to seek their protection and blessings. This is followed by the Punyaha Vachan (purification ritual) and Brahman Varn (recitation of sacred Vedic mantras). The primary part of the puja involves the Recitation of Navgrah Mantra Japa, where specific mantras for each planet are chanted to harmonize their influences.
