Puja Procedure

The Maha Lakshmi Puja begins with Swasti Vachan (chanting of auspicious hymns) and Shanti Path (peace prayers) to create a serene and sacred environment. This is followed by the Sankalp (vow) to declare the devotee’s purpose and intentions. The installation of deities is performed in sequence, starting with Ganesh Sthapan (installation of Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles), Kalash Sthapan (placement of the sacred water pot), Maha Lakshmi Sthapan (invocation of Goddess Lakshmi), Navgrah Sthapan (installation of the nine planetary deities), Brahma Sthapan (installation of Lord Brahma), and Agni Sthapan (installation of the fire deity).

The puja continues with the Invocation of all Gods and Goddesses followed by the Navgrah Mantra Japa to harmonize planetary influences. The Punyaha Vachan Kalash Pujan is performed for purification, followed by Shodas Matrika Pujan (worship of the sixteen mother goddesses), Bhadra Mandal Pujan (worship of the auspicious mandala), Chhetrapal Mandal Pujan (worship of the guardians of the directions), and Chausath Yogini Pujan (worship of the 64 Yoginis). The recitation of Sri Suktam and Lakshmi Suktam is done to invoke the divine presence of Goddess Lakshmi, followed by the chanting of the Lakshmi Mantra Japa and the Kanakdhara Stotra to seek her blessings. The ritual also includes the Lakshmi Stotra for attracting wealth and prosperity. The ceremony concludes with Aarti (light offering) and the distribution of Prasad to the Brahmins.
